(This is Going to Hurt…)

This is going to hurt…and it does

A treatment to ease the pain of disease…yet causing pain just the same
“ I didn’t mean to hurt you”…preceded by the words that did

“No pain, no gain”…easily said, but hard to endure

Tears for others and tears for us…liquid pain for the world to see

But with pain comes hope…hope for a cure
With pain comes hope…hope for a lover’s return

God bestows a precious gift…but not without some pain
Mary’s pain delivers hope…the blessed birth of our Saviour
With the pain of Christ’s death, hope endures…hope for our eternal life
